About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Financial Analyst to join our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the innovation and execution of high-impact projects that support our mission of powering the future of computing.

As a Financial Analyst at Dataprana, you will play a key role in shaping our financial strategy through rigorous modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis, with a strong focus on cryptocurrency mining and data center economics. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams – including operations and executive leadership – to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Modeling

• Develop short-term and long-term financial models based on mining output, market prices (BTC, ETH, etc.), and operational costs.
• Forecast cash flows, ROI, and payback periods for the data center project.

Currency and Crypto Trends Analysis

• Track cryptocurrency prices, analyze revenue volatility, and recommend hedging or holding strategies.

Cost Monitoring and Optimization

• Analyze electricity costs, hardware depreciation, and maintenance expenses.
• Provide cost-benefit analyses for upgrading mining equipment or switching coins.

Profitability and Breakeven Analysis

• Track real-time mining profitability by comparing revenue per kWh vs. operational costs.
• Identify breakeven points based on market conditions and hardware efficiency.

Performance Reporting

• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports for investors: profit/loss, asset valuation, and operational KPIs.
• Visualize mining productivity (e.g., coins/day, $/TH/s) and compare with projected metrics.

Market & Risk Analysis

• Evaluate risks related to crypto market fluctuations, regulatory changes, or network upgrades (e.g., Bitcoin halving, Ethereum forks).
• Assess and recommend diversification strategies (e.g., mining different coins, staking, or selling hashpower).

Capex & Investment Analysis

• Evaluate new investment opportunities in hardware, facility expansion, or energy infrastructure.
• Build NPV/IRR models to support investor decision-making.

Audit & Compliance

• Maintain proper accounting for digital assets (wallet management, taxation, valuation standards).
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal audit standards, especially around crypto asset custody.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with technical teams (mining engineers, IT, facilities) to understand operational impact on finances.
• Present clear financial insights to non-financial stakeholders and investors.

Scenario & Sensitivity Modeling

• Run “what-if” analyses (e.g., BTC drops by 30%, difficulty increases 20%) to simulate outcomes and guide contingency planning.

Requirements and Skills

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in high-capex or tech-driven environments.
• Strong modeling skills, including cash flow forecasting, ROI, NPV, and IRR analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling tools.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting and operational financial metrics.
• Ability to analyze large data sets and translate into actionable financial insights.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cryptocurrency mining, blockchain, data center operations, or energy-intensive industries.
• Familiarity with crypto market metrics.
• Understanding of digital asset accounting, custody, and crypto-related tax implications. Experience working with or analyzing decentralized financial systems.
• CPA, CFA, or other financial certifications.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams (e.g., engineers, IT, operations).
• Knowledge of ESG principles and renewable energy financing models is a plus.
• Russian language proficiency is a plus.

Compensation:

• Base: $21,000-$30,000 annually DOE
• Bonus: Up to 10% of base salary
• 10 days Paid Time Off (PTO) annually
• 6 paid US holidays
• 50% reimbursement for approved professional training
